new intern for Green Room

So Susan and I had a lovely brunch at Ethels, I had the muffins with smoked salmon and hollandaise sauce and she the veg breakfast, washed down with a ginger/apple/carrot smoothie and then a gingerbread latte. I suggested that I should probably think about an intern to help me with Green Room as I never seem to have the time what with juggling parenthood, my job in London etc. We need to attract people down there, more drinks promos, sexier guests....So i've put an ad on gumtree and have registered with intern Brighton so lets see who turns up....

Brunch at Ethels

Off to Ethels on Blatchington road at 11am to meet Susan from BTV. We need to have a good ole brainstorming session about how to get more freelancers to attend our Green Room events. We need to know what would people like to see in the space? More speakers, more drinks promos? Famous faces? peter andre? I don't know am juggling my job in London, a 11 month old baby and moving house next week so Green Room often takes a back seat....I'd be so happy to get more input. I do still think we need a Brighton based drinks social network event down here but if people don't come along then we're doing something wrong......

CV Workshop coming up Nov with Media Parents

WHizzing round trying to find people to help us out in November at our CV workshop event. Media Parents are collaborating again to host this valuable event. Freelancers or just back to work after a baby or just need your CV to be given a revamp then this is for you. We've asked some damn fine professionals in our business to help advise and give tips on CVs on the night. You just bring CV along and we'll do the rest. June 1st for next Green Room featuring David Jacklin of Little Loud

Had fun and relaxed drinks with the core members of Green Room on Wednesday , it was great to see Susan from BTV, Toni from Alto Films, Nick Schofield the up and coming actor who has a new script he is bandying about ! When i left Nick was pitching to Toni, Susan and Chloe of Opus Arte. Looking forward to the next one on June 1st where we will have a panel discussion/ q and a with David Jacklin from Little Loud - Digital platforms and how to get your moneys worth.

May The 4th Be with you...

After a right royal weekend I'll be glad to welcome all green roomers down at Geisha's on Wednesday the 4th at 6.30pm. I'll be rushing back from my one day in London at DLT Entertainment and looking forward to catching up with everyone.
We're planning to just have a drink to celebrate the start of the Brighton festival, so what are the HOT tickets this season? Let us know.

Welcome to Green Room

First ever post on Green Room Site, here it is finally I've managed to set it up.... This is for all those people who keep asking me for   a Green Room website to find out dates/events etc... Here it is. hmm what next well we have an idea for the next Green Room for 27th April (weds) at Madame Geisha, east st , Brighton. 6.30pm as usual and the theme is going to be New Distribution Models for TV/Film - and How to make the Internet make money for your film.. We hope to see you there.
